History for Lunch - • Beyond the Green Book: Recovering Elizabeth City’s Historic African American Businesses through Project-Based Learning
The Museum of the Albemarle will host the monthly History for Lunch Hybrid on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at 12 p.m. Melissa N. Stuckey, PhD, Elizabeth City State University, will present Beyond the Green Book: Recovering Elizabeth City’s Historic African American Businesses through Project-Based Learning virtually. The lecture is in conjunction with the Navigating Jim Crow: The Green Book & Oasis Spaces in North Carolina traveling exhibit. Dr. Stuckey will discuss the two regional businesses, both located in Elizabeth City, that were listed in the Negro Motorist Green Book.
