Foreign Museum Exchange Pilot Program

By bringing together Tribal cultural heritage experts and representatives, Tribal museums, foreign institutions and U.S. Government museums and agencies, the exchange aims to promote the development of positive relationships among the foreign museums and Tribes and facilitate the return of heritage. Over the course of the visit Tribes, foreign museum personnel, and federal personnel will meet and discuss the importance of bringing ancestors and cultural items back to Tribes and the unique relationship Tribes have with the federal government.
