Hello Everyone,
Francisca Saldana
01:36:41
I called the USDA this morning to enquire about some of what was discussed yesterday. I learned that these program exclude inner city locations for FSA and Home owners that are not located in the rural areas. Can anyone help me as an entrepreneur getting into farming, teaching and tutoring, including, some information that can help with funding with grants and loans to repair a structure that was built 1900?

Michael Merrell: Division Chief, Loon Lake Fire Rescue The Operations Division coordinates response to major wild land fire emergency incidents that require resource orders within the boundaries of Region 1, 2, 4, and 6. We provide EMS support modules and coordination to private, local, state, and federal stakeholders. The Division Chief manages the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during wild land fire disaster activation, a Warning Point so to speak, ensuring that all emergency support functions are present at the EOC and function at an optimum level, as well as coordinating the evacuation and shelter operations within jurisdiction parameters. As a small team, we allow for greater accountability, autonomy, and flexibility, both in terms of response and idea-based changes. Keeping the team small gives us the ability to manage, coordinate quickly and efficiently.

02:23:52
Are Veteran Own Small Businesses (VOSB) included in the set aside for SDVOSB? I think too, that the word small is constantly used but have different meanings and standards per NACIS Codes; Also, Sect. Vilsack and others speak of small farmers but by definition a small farmer is defined as producing $350k per year. When we consider the programming for USDA greater provisions must be considered for those farmers that represent approx. 61% earn less than $9,999 yr. So, the question is, while the IIIJA based upon E.O.(s) 13950; 13985; 14008; 14052; and 14057 state that these classified social vulnerable communities should receive 40%. Mrs. Davis-Slay, not to break up the flow of your sessions I would appreciate discussing this offline.

One general comment, this has provided a lot of information, but for any future sessions, I would love to see it separated into 'beginners' info and those that have been in federal contracting for awhile (advanced group) who are looking more specifically to find out what projects are coming up, and who to contact for those.
