Over the summer she worked with Dr. Allan Treiman of the LPI on a project titled: The Distribution and Volume of Impact Melt, Cleopatra Crater, Maxwell Montes, Venus. She is passionate about planetary science and would like to pursue a career in planetary geophysics. Dr. Serina Diniega (Scientist/ Systems Engineer @NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory) Dr. Diniega studies present-day gully and dune evolution on Mars and serves as group supervisor for the Planetary Geosciences group at JPL. In addition to science research, she is heavily involved with mission development, with current responsibilities as an Investigation Scientist on the Europa Clipper Mission and as a science lead in very early development of Mars small spacecraft mission concepts. She also has extensive experience with the NASA Mars Program Office and Mars community support and science synthesis endeavors. Dr. Matthew Weller (Urey Postdoctoral Fellow @the Lunar and Planetary Institute) Dr. Weller is a planetary geophysicist interested in understanding the processes and physics that govern the dynamics and evolution of the deep interior and surface of planetary bodies. His research has included investigation of Olympus Mons on Mars, the evolution of the tectonic state of Earth and Venus, the ice shells of the outer satellites, habitability potentials of non-plate tectonic planets, and more. Dr. Paul Abell (Chief Scientist for Small Body Exploration @Astromaterials Research and Exploration Science Division, NASA Johnson Space Center) Dr. Abell's main areas of interest are the physical characterization, robotic and human exploration, and resource potential of near-Earth objects (NEOs). He is an investigation team member on both NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) and NEO Surveyor planetary defense missions, as well as a science management board member of ESA’s Hera planetary defense mission.
