#Engage4Moms Webinar Series: Part 1 The Effects of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) on Maternal Mental Health
Join us as we hear from faith and community leaders partake in a robust discussion regarding Intimate Partner Violence.

Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) is abuse or aggression that occurs within a relationship and can refer to both current and former spouses and dating partners. According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), about 1 in 4 women and nearly 1 in 10 men have experienced contact with sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner during their lifetime and reported some form of IPV- related impact. Those who survive IPV can experience mental health-related problems, such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms and are at higher risk of engaging in negative behaviors such as drug and alcohol usage and sexual risk behaviors.

Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) is preventable, and it's important to consider how faith and community groups can come alongside our communities to improve their health and wellbeing.
