Civil Rights Division Martin Luther King Jr. Day Event
The Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice cordially invites you to a virtual convening on January 13, 2022, to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  The event will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, via Zoom.

The program will feature remarks from Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta, Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke, and other civil rights champions and emerging youth advocates for equal justice, including from Mr. Fred Gray, the celebrated lawyer whose work was so influential that Martin Luther King Jr. referred to him as the “chief counsel for the protest movement.” 

Please join us and our special guests for an engaging discussion about the historical civil rights movement and how contemporary movements have built on the work of Dr. King.
