AMS T&M Farmers Market and Local Food Promotion Program (FMLFPP) Applicant Webinar
On February 14, 2023, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) announced the availability of approximately $77 million for the Farmers Market and Local Food Promotion Program (FMLFPP).

FMPP’s purpose is to support the development, coordination, and expansion of direct producer-to-consumer markets to increase access to and availability of locally and regionally produced agricultural products. Approximately $15.4 million is available to fund FMPP applications.

LFPP’s purpose is to support the development, coordination, and expansion of local and regional food business enterprises that engage as intermediaries in indirect producer-to-consumer marketing to increase access to and availability of locally and regionally produced agricultural products. Approximately $61.8 million is available to fund applications.

AMS encourages applications that benefit smaller farms and ranches, new and beginning farmers and ranchers, underserved producers, veteran producers, and/or underserved communities. For grants intending to serve these entities, applicants should engage and involve those beneficiaries when developing projects and applications.

AMS will competitively award grants to eligible applicants for projects that meet the purpose of this grant program.

The Request for Applications for FMPP and LFPP are available in the program websites. The application period is open from Tuesday, February 14, 2023 through Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Applications must be submitted via Grants.gov by 11:59pm Eastern Standard Time.
