Join this webinar for an informative discussion with SmartWay Affiliates and Partners active in the demonstration, research, and deployment of commercial battery electric trucks.
The North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE), a SmartWay affiliate, will highlight findings from its 2021 electric truck demonstration (Run on Less-Electric). Thirteen fleets participated in that demonstration operating electric trucks in several different U.S. markets, running routes to successfully deliver beer, wine, packages, electrical equipment and more. Yard tractors also were part of the demonstration. NFI, a SmartWay Partner, will discuss the performance and charging demand of electric trucks in it growing fleet of battery-electric vehicles. NFI has deployed electric tractors to support operations at its terminals and in its regional services. CALSTART, a national non-profit, recently joined SmartWay as an affiliate. It administers California’s Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Project (HVIP), a point-of-sale voucher program available to qualified fleets. CALSTART will address the opportunities and challenges in bringing electric trucks to the heavy-duty market.
