Introduction to Market News

The USDA AMS Specialty Crops Market News Division is planning a series of interactive webinars beginning March 21 with an “Introduction to Market News”.

The first webinar will be presented by Specialty Crops Market News (SCMN) Director John Okoniewski. The presentation will give participants an introduction to Market News and the services they provide.

Market News was established in 1915 and reports price and volume information on conventional and organic grown fruits, vegetables, onions and potatoes at various market levels as well as other specialty crops including honey, apple juice concentrate, and the newest commodity, hemp. Attendees are encouraged to participate in an interactive question-and-answer session at the conclusion of the presentation.

The goal of these webinars is to open up lines of communication with the industry, educate them on the services, benefits of the information and develop a working relationship for future cooperation.
